Agreed Terms & Conditions:

The undersigned student and parent/guardian agree to the following terms and conditions for the student's participation with Step Into My Shoes services:

1. Parental/Legal Guardian Permission

Students signing up or being signed up for any Step Into My Shoes courses or services must have parental or legal guardian permission to do so.

2. No Warranties

While the consultants/tutors/teachers are confident in their skills and teaching ability, the consultants make no promises or warranties with regards to outcome and/or students’ performance as a result of any counseling and teaching provided. We reserve the right to change teachers, times of lessons and location of courses and to combine classes at our discretion.

3. Under-Enrolled Classes

Step Into My Shoes reserves the right to cancel under rolled classes with not enough registered students. Parents and students will be informed as early as possible should any of their registered classes run this risk. In such a case, students will have the option to participate in this class at an additional charge or receive full refund.

4. Facilities

Please note that Step Into My Shoes contracts with third parties including Imperial College for the use of facilities but has no formal connection with these facilities including Imperial College. Step Into My Shoes also reserves the right to change the course location.

5. Content

Although we use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Content we prepare and deliver is accurate and informative, we cannot guarantee that it is entirely error free or complete. Under no circumstances will we be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in such Content, any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your reliance on such Content or the use of any product or service reviewed or discussed in such Content.

6. Obligation on Students

·       Be on time and attend all scheduled tutoring sessions

·       Bring all necessary material to each session (textbooks, assignments, reading material)

·       Participate actively in all aspects of the tutoring sessions

·       Complete written assignment/homework within the timeline given by tutor

·       The student is responsible for meeting and completing all the application requirements ahead of the deadlines including submitting coursework/written homework to tutor(s) by the required dates. Failure to do so may impact the high application standards the tutors are striving towards.

7. Asking for a student to leave

If we feel that the student is not benefiting from the groups or private sessions for one reason or other, we reserve the right to ask you not to bring them anymore.  In these circumstances you will be given a full refund of any remaining classes.  

8. Personal Belongings

Step Into My Shoes is not responsible for any personal belongings that students bring to the classes/sessions.

9. Payment for Group Courses & Individual Tutoring

We require payment on reservation for a full course of lessons. For individual lessons, we require payment in full on receipt of invoice.

10. Cancellation Policy

Students cancelling individual tutoring sessions need to do so 72 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. There are no make up classes or refunds for non-attendance. Students cancelling group courses need to cancel 14 days prior to the course starting. Timely cancellation in line with the cancellation policy, will result in reimbursement in full. If you do not cancel a lesson in line with the cancellation policy, we can email the missed work on request. There are no make up classes or refunds for non-attendance.

11. Additional Academic Support

For parents and students seeking additional academic support privately, I am happy to put them in touch with some teachers/tutors for those who attend the entrance test courses or are signed up as clients for UCAS support. Step Into My Shoes however is not a tutoring agency and will have no financial involvement. This will become a private arrangement between you and them for which Step Into My Shoes is not responsible. I will try my best efforts to recommend individuals who I believe to be suitable but parents are responsible for checking their qualifications, credentials and child protection status.

12. Termination of Services

Step Into My Shoes retains the right to terminate any service at any time for any reason by sending notice to the email address provided by the client. In the event that Step Into My Shoes terminates the services, you will be entitled to a pro-rated refund unless the clients has breached the terms of an Agreement.
